Cut out a white heart for the dog’s face and two pink hearts for the ears. Glue them on as well as the pom-poms and a pink paper tongue! Add the googly eyes and he’s ready to go!
Rainbow craft sticks makes this a mess free and super easy craft for kids to create.
Cut out two cloud shapes the same size from a white foam sheet. Use tacky glue to glue a red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple craft stick in a line at the bottom of one of your cloud shapes.
Then line up and glue the second cloud on top of the other.
Add some personality to the rainbow craft by adding self-adhesive googly eyes in the middle of the cloud and then give your cloud a cute smile with a black marker.
Let dry and enjoy!

Are you and your little genius ready for some fund crafting??? Well, check out this fun Cookie Monster and Elmo handprint craft. Special thanks to simple everyday mom for the amazing idea!
Trace your child’s hand onto the red and blue paper. Cut them both out.
Trace Elmo’s nose onto the orange card stock and cut out. Trace Elmo’s mouth onto the black card stock and cut out. Use the .5″ circle punch or scissors to cut out 2 eyes from the black card stock.
Arrange the red handprint with the fingers pointing down. Assemble Elmo by gluing the white eyes from the template onto the top of the handprint.
Glue the 2 black circles onto the middle of the white eyes from the template.
Glue the orange nose onto the bottom of the eyes, with about 1/3 of the nose overlapping the eyes.
Trace Cookie Monster’s mouth onto the black card stock and cut out. Use the .5″ circle punch or scissors to cut out 2 eyes from the black card stock.
Assemble Cookie Monster’s eyes by gluing one black circle to the top left part of the white eye. Glue the other black circle to the bottom right part of the white eye. This will give Cookie his signature silly look.
Arrange the blue handprint with the fingers pointing down. Glue the completed eyes to the top of the handprint. Attach the smile with glue just beneath Cookie’s eyes.
A little wisdom goes a long way. I have made it a habit to have a healthy mind, body, and spirit, so every Wednesday I would like to share with you some wisdom that has helped me. Enjoy
Today’s Quote:
“You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight “
Life can come at you so fast that you may feel as if you are losing control or being drowned by the experience, but I would like to encourage you to hold on. Take a deep breath and use this opportunity to ask God what you should be doing next. “ HELP” is a strong enough prayer when talking to God. Seek the right direction when the destination (as it often does) changes and watch God guide your mind and heart into the next step you should take.
Simply tie strips of green felt around a wreath form to create this fluffy and fun holiday decor.
To make: Cut strips of two different shades of green felt. Tie strips around a wreath form. Attach small red ornaments throughout the wreath with hot glue. Loop a length of wide ribbon around the wreath to hang.
I would like to shout out IMOM for the 10 prayer topics we should pray over our children. I believe that prayer has power, and it is our responsibility to cover our homes and our children with the word of God. Join me every week as we share a powerful prayer topic for your little genius!
We do what we can to give our children a steady diet of the truth, but at some point they must embrace a relationship with God on their own. (Luke 2:52 “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and all the people.” John 10:27 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”)
To everything, there is a season. I have a secret to tell you, NO PARENT HAS ALL OF THE ANSWERS ALL OF THE TIME. The true beauty of parenting is to learn how to balance your ideas and expectation for your home. If you have 10 things on your list to do. Categorize them by priority, then spread the list out through the week. You do not have to be super mom or super dad.
What your child needs from you is for you to be at peace in your heart and mind. The peace will allow you to accomplish the needed task and then have room to roll with all of the punches that come with parenting. When you are at peace, you set the foundation for your home life to also be at peace.
Moms and dads out there I know that you will understand this one! Everyone, no matter how long you have been parenting needs assistance or help of some kind. As a parent I do believe that God gives you the skill and ability to love, care and look after your little genius; but there comes a time where a helping hand can bring peace and comfort into your home.
Receiving help as a parent means being transparent. I would like to encourage you today to be strengthened by the honest notion that even amazing parents grow stronger with the right community.
Raising Little Geniuses is a community where we encourage, pray, and tap into the latest and greatest tools for you and your child. Let’s face it, parenting is hard… why do it alone. Join our community and tune in every week to receive the support you need to be the best parent you can be.
Here is a quote to motivate and bring a smile to your face. Parenting can be hard, tune into this blog and find out possitive ways to keep life interesting and calm!
It’s not only children who grow. Parents do, too. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours. I can’t tell my children to reach for the sun. All I can do is reach for it myself
