What are the benefits of mindfulness meditation?

  1. Connect better: Ever find yourself staring blankly at a friend, lover, child, and you’ve no idea what they’re saying? Mindfulness helps you give them your full attention.
  2. Improve focus: It can be frustrating to have our mind stray off what we’re doing and be pulled in six directions. Meditation hones our innate ability to focus.

It’s Meditation Monday!!

Are you guys ready for the next step toward emotional freedom?

Step 2:

See Boundaries

If you took time to get “quiet” last week then you probably noticed a few thoughts or worries that tried to compete with your quiet space. The disturbances may have appeared as bills, tasks, people, situations… what are you supposed to do with these thoughts and feelings so that you can have a true time of quiet or peace?

You must acknowledge the negativity, I call it “see the boundaries.”

 Follow the steps below:

–  When a thought or worry presents itself, write it down

– After you write the worry down, take a moment and think of the solution

– When you are having “quiet” time and the worry appears, tell yourself that you have already solved the problem. This gives the problem permission to leave your quiet space.

Join me next Monday as we gain more tools towards peace and tranquility.

Meditation Monday:

How do you begin calming your mind and uplifting your spirit?

STEP 1: You must learn how to get quiet.

Quiet means more than a lack of speaking, it’s a moment of peace, where interferences of any kind is not welcome.  You may think that you know how to be quiet, but there is a skill to being still. Look at the steps below and try this week to have a quiet moment.

Take a moment in your day to sit and be still.

  • Cut off or silence all technology
  • Dim the lights in the room you are in (or light a candle)
  • Close your eyes
  • Get in a comfortable position (sitting or lying down)
  • RELAX

This quiet moment can be 30 seconds to 5 minutes, just allow yourself to be still and uninterrupted. Let me know how the experience is for you!

Meditation Monday:

Today I want to introduce you to true power, when you learn how to control your thoughts you learn how to control your life.

Through meditation I have learned to build my own vehicle for receiving and experiencing the situations that come into my life.  I for one didn’t want to live at the mercy of my emotions.  Being driven by your emotions is like strapping your mentality into a seat on a roller coaster that pushes your body back and forth until life decides that the ride is done. My body was worn and mentality exhausted, until I learned that I could take my power back, that I could construct my own ride for the experience called life.

Through meditation I have learned how to slow down, speed up, and control the turns in my newly constructed life. I have learned that every bump on the road doesn’t have to make me sick to my stomach or have lingering aches and pains.

This month I want to share with you some of the tools I have chosen on this journey that has helped me build a powerful and productive lifestyle. Join me!

Less stress… less anxiety

Less stress translates to less anxiety.

Mindfulness meditation helps reduce anxiety.

It also reduced symptoms of anxiety disorders, such as phobias, social anxiety, paranoid thoughts, obsessive-compulsive behaviors and panic attacks.

Meditation may also help control job-related anxiety in high-pressure work environments.

Can Meditation improve health?

YES… it Encourages a healthy lifestyle.
Studies have shown that meditating increases your immunity and helps fight off diseases. Meditation causes you to relax, which increases a compound called nitric oxide that dilates your blood vessels and causes your blood pressure to drop. A lower blood pressure improves your cardiovascular and immune health, as well as helps you to have a better night’s rest!

Why Meditate?

To Reduce stress!
One of the main benefits of meditation is stress reduction. Meditating in quite contemplation can help you relax, find peace of mind and ease tension so that you can control and manage your stress levels. Stress causes your heart rate and blood pressure to go up and too much of that can create health issues. Meditating for a few minutes every day helps you to let go of stress to achieve a relaxed state of mind.
