Prayer for Children

I would like to shout out IMOM for the 10 prayer topics we should pray over our children. I believe that prayer has power, and it is our responsibility to cover our homes and our children with the word of God. Join me every week as we share a powerful prayer topic for your little genius!

1. Pray for faith.

We do what we can to give our children a steady diet of the truth, but at some point they must embrace a relationship with God on their own. (Luke 2:52 “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and all the people.”  John 10:27 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”)

Daily Confession of Faith

In Christ I am anointed and a powerful person of God.
I am a joint-heir with Jesus and more than a conqueror.
I am a doer of the Word of God and a channel for His blessings.
If God be for me, who can be against me?
I am blessed coming in and I am blessed
Going out. My enemies are fleeing before me. God has commanded
His blessing on my storehouses. He has opened His
Good treasures and I shall lend and not borrow.
I am the head and not the tail.
He has given me power to make wealth.

Cancer, sugar diabetes, heart disease, sickness,
Afflictions, infections, or any other disease cannot enter my body.
I am without spot or blemish,
An intercessor, the righteousness of God, saved, and washed in the
Blood of Jesus.
“No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue
Which rises against me in judgment You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their
Righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.
I am saved from wrath by Him and justified
by the Blood of the Lamb.
Lord I pray that those may prosper that love Jerusalem and that peace will
be within them and prosperity in their houses according to Psalms 122:6-9.

Had a bad day

Today was rough, this season has been difficult, and this year is coming to a close. But… You have made it. In our walk with God we are not promised a stress free life, instead we are given a gift of peace, long suffering , love, self control, and much more. What does that have to do with the struggles in life? Well, the gifts are our line of defense against the struggles that want to bring us down. God doesn’t abandon us during rough times, instead He offers the ability to overcome and even flurish. Pinpoint what gift you need in this time of pain from Galatians 5:22 , pray and ask God to show you your life vest.

Dont be “that” girl

Without negating the need for feelings and emotions to be released and not suppressed… In 2017 we need to learn how to control our environment better people of God. What I mean by this is that our continence should light up a room, make someone smile, cheer up their day instead of being the core of confusion and distractions. God calls His people salt and light meaning that we are tools of retention as well as conduets of illumination. In us is the ability to preserve an atmosphere or illuminate one. Be the person who brings light, be the person who harbors joy in stressful situations, be the person that sees negativity but chooses to invite God into the room. People of God let’s raise the standard on our environment. Good gave us Dominion, it’s time to use it! Selah

Who you with?

I was watching an interview, and Oprah quotes Mya Angelo saying – “I come as 1 but stand as 10,000” this poem immediately mirrored a scripture I have been speaking as a little girl 1 John 4:4 “Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.”

What does all that mean, it means that you are the result of two thousand and seventeen years of strength and possibility. I am here because my mother made it through labor, her mother made it through civil rights, her mother made it through slavery, our father made it through the persecution of His Son for the redemption of our sins. You and I are not haphazardly existing. We are here because we stand on the shoulders of those who have persevered before us.

Today may be difficult, but you and I are here for a reason. We exist because of sacrifice and purpose. What has happened today, this month or even this year cannot diminish your victory unless you allow it?  You are already a part of a legacy of winners, I’m here to tell you don’t stop now! Don’t change the narrative from success to failure because things aren’t going your way.

Choose to stand with the triumphant. Choose to see the success of those who came before you even if you can’t stand on your own success today. When pain, disappointment, and anguish trying to get in bed with you, get out of those covers and choose to stand on the side of victory.  Because my friend whether you know it or not… you were made to be a winner.

Blindfolded

“You don’t need eyes to see your faith work” this line by Lacrae nearly knocked me out of my seat as I was riding down the highway. Thank God that I don’t have to tangibly see the good and wonderful as they manifest in my life. If you can’t see why I’m so excited I want you to check out this analogy: When you are the baker of a cake you plan the ingredients, purchase the ingredients, and have all the supplies needed to properly bake a cake. But the responsibility doesn’t stop there, once you have all the ingredients you must the start working. Putting the mix in a bowl, add eggs and milk, even stirring. But wait, my friend, there is more… now you must move the batter into an oiled pan, turn the oven on, get mittens for your hands, put the unfinished cake in the oven, set the timer, and prepare a place for the cake to rest and cool off before you can proceed to the next step of decorating or devouring. Exhausting!!!

With God working faith with your eyes closed is like going to a store and someone presenting you with a cake and a receipt. They tell you the cake is finished, paid for, and waiting for you to simply come to the store to pick it up!!!

That my friend is why I was so enthralled by the line because my spirit jumps when it’s reminded that we are the recipients of unearned favor, love, forgiveness, and provision. We show up in our relationship with God and God shows out every time.  Seeing our blessing manifest our blessings and life is much to much work for you or me to take on! Allow God to be God in today and receive your peace that passes understanding. If you haven’t heard the song check it out below.

#sacrifice

Jim Rhon says: “for every disciplined effort there is a multiple reward.” In this year as we are pushing the limits and accomplishing all that God has put inside of us to do, It’s crucial that we remember there is no success without sacrifice.

Your dream will cost you… sleep, money, time, resources and even comfortability. But isn’t that the point? When you or I am fulfilling a purpose, we are doing something greater than ourselves, usually costing more than we typically have to give.

So today as you make that PB&J sandwich, miss that party, or miss funny moments on social media; remember your goal, your purpose, and your aspiration. Peace

I know its dark

Just because you can’t see in front of you doesn’t mean that God can’t. What God has for you no man, woman, job,  finances, can take from you. The word of God says “greater is He that’s in you than that’s in the world.” Don’t give in when you can’t see God, and you think the world is surrounding you. Instead, my friend when darkness is all around you, that is the time to plug into the only light in the situation… which is God.
