Hello everyone, I just wanted to share with you this amazing episode of The Same Room. It touched my heart today and literally I walked away in tears just praying and thanking God for who He is and what He has done.
There’s so much going on in the world that we must take a moment to reflect and listen. Watch this episode and let me know if it blesses you as well. Selah
If you have playdough and cookie cutters… then you have an opportunity for a good time! When it comes to fun with your little ones do not get complicated. Take out the good old-fashioned playdough and allow your children to make shapes and figures from the cookie cutters.
If you would like to take it a step further, ask your child to create a story using the shapes and figures they have created.
Enjoy!!!

I would like to take today to honor all forms of mothers! My hat goes off to the Biological, Surrogate, Adoptive, Auntie Mother, Stepmom’s, Single Mothers, Foster Mothers, Coaches, Teachers, and More!
Thank you to all who has mothered. The world benefits and grows from you love, care, and selfless support. We know that motherhood goes far beyond the ability to get pregnant and bare a child. Motherhood is the decision to put children and their wellbeing before yourself. Thank you, Mothers, Thank you!

During this time, it is very easy to get into a slump. One way I am staying active and positive is connecting with a friend or family member and making them an accountability partner. The activity can be reading a book with my siblings or committing to get out of bed and do some form of exercise with my best friend, I have found that making accountability partners gives an air of purpose to my day during this quarantine.
Today I want to encourage you to not only reach out and check on your loved ones but make a commitment with someone. Set a goal and check in with one another until the task is complete! You will not only add value to your time at home, but you are now introducing another way to bond with the people you love the most.

Daily Prayer For A Child To Pray
Heavenly Father, I pray that you will forgive me for everything that I have done wrong. Lord help me to forgive anyone who may have hurt me and help anyone that I may have hurt or upset to forgive me.
Lord, help me to love others and do what You want me to do. Lord, help my family to be happy and love one another and not be sad or mad at each other. Dear Lord, please take care of my loved ones and protect and love them as they care for me. Please show my family how much You love them and that you will always be there for them. Teach us Lord to always come to You in prayer.
Lord, I pray for every member of my family and all of my friends to accept You into their hearts. Lord Jesus, heal the sick so they will live a long, happy and healthy life. Lord, keep every member of my family, principals, teachers, friends, classmates, and pets safe from any harm or evil. Help me Lord to get good grades in school. Lord, please protect the President, and all the leaders of our country and state, and their families.
Lord, keep our pastors, firemen, policemen, and all the soldiers, safe as they do their jobs. I pray for the poor and hungry that they will receive food so they won’t go to bed hungry tonight. Send people to help them and give them a place to sleep, and if they are sick please make them well and feel better. Lord I pray for the sick in the hospitals and prisons, please heal them, and tell them about Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, I ask you to bless everyone that I have prayed for today and send Your mighty angels to protect all of us and keep us safe.
In Jesus Name I pray.
Amen

While the whole world stands still, one thing that is being suggested is self-care! But who knows what that means? How do you take care of yourself when times seem to be so unsure and stressful?
Self-care is when you take time to do something for you, even if it only lasts a few minutes. Self- Care is acknowledging that you too matter. Self-care is a moment in the day when you close the door to stress, tasks, and to-do’s and focus on the healing and uplifting of your mind, heart and spirit. It doesn’t have to complicated, just intentional.
I want to shout out a helpful site called wholefully.com who gave a condensed list of some “stay at home” self-care ideas.

If you are wondering how to keep positivity in your home during this quarantine, check out this incredible book by Gabi Garcia called, I Can Do Hard Things. Personaly, I found the book free on Amazon Kindle. It has incredible illustrations as well as powerful affirmations which encourages your child’s mind and heart during this difficult time.
My five year old read this book to me this moring and it blessed my heart. It reminded me of how strong God is and how we too are blessed even in crisis.

I was speaking to my mentor this week and she really gave me a burst of inspiration. She told me that we all have the ability to be great, we have to simply stop making excuses. There are a million reasons why we haven’t kept our commitments (even to ourselves), whether it’s a workout plan, passion project, or even setting time aside every day to pray. There will always be a reasonable excuse to let you out of the very thing that you want to do for you.
I want to encourage you to throw away at least one excuse… today. Choose one task that has sat on the shelf and make the decision to hold on to it today. Take ahold of it today and make the time to start it. Don’t try to figure out how its going to be completed, just make the decision to start!
Let me know if this helps! Selah
